Sorry Vexed but he is in the mix for sure. The bigger the club, the better the players are around you and the better you're going to look. Imagine how good he'd look playing for Bayern ... Not that I am advocating he moves anywhere of course (but if he did I'd rather he went abroad).

Re: Rice is not going anywhere.
if the board are commited to keeping RICE,they need to make it clear to all clubs in whichever way they can,

for instane saying that we value him at 100 million, and it would take that as a bare miniomum for his release

Sven Roeder 7:57 Fri Dec 18
Re: Rice is not going anywhere.
Because Rice is regarded by the media as too good to stay at West Ham and the way of the modern game is that players MUST go to one of the ‘big’ clubs.
And having spent £400m to show minimal improvement the out of his depth Lampard is floundering around for more signings before the mute gangster orders the novichok to be put on his door handles.

Re: Rice is not going anywhere.
If Rice is committed to West Ham why doesn't the constant talk about Chelsea stop.
In 60 years of supporting this club have seen much evidence of claret and blue getting into many players blood, quite the opposite in fact.
Can't get out of the fucking please quick enough

Re: Rice is not going anywhere.
Kante probably the guvnor

Casemiro and Kimmich are up there too

but in and around the age of 21 who is better?

I can certainly see Rice being better than Kante, the kid has it all. His ability is scary and his attitude is spot on. England are very lucky

Re: Rice is not going anywhere.
Best holding midfielder in Europe. One day he may leave for a club bigger than Chelsea, but for all Rice antics for West Ham fans and watching every behind the scenes clips , his heart is clearly West Ham.
Maybe he supported Chelsea as a kid, but we all know when you get the claret and blue disease through inheritance or default , it doesn't leave. The other half of his Family is West Ham. Maybe they influence him more.

Clear when he was a kid he was directed towards Ireland, maybe not realising his true potential thinking Ireland was guaranteed games.

As for moving to play with your best mate, does this mean he only has one mate , a mate can decide his entire future?

As for Frank as his preferred manager, can Franks coaching teach Rice to be any better , than the coaching under Moyes and the England set up?

Rice has been raised impeccably and i can not see greed winning his signature for any premiership club.

What have I been called out on exactly? It's just that I dont agree with the large quantity of 'not the brightest' people on this thread. That's probably not going to change, I suggest you get used to it.

Oh, and we all know it will happen. Might as well tell them what flowers you want on the WHO Fund thread now son. It'll be a blessed relief for everyone for sure.

Look at him, the angry little fellow.

Whenever he gets called out, particularly by me he gets all red in the face slamming his keyboard and goes back to his old, dull comments about me topping myself.

Isn't going to happen son, Merry Christmas to you, cuntchops.

"two seasons of relative mediocrity that"

Absolute nonsense.

His first two seasons was the transition period of a promising young footballer developing his game.

There was nothing mediocre about it, In fact, in 2018 he was runner-up Hammer of the Year and in 2019 he made the shortlist for PFA Young Player of the Year.

His development has been outstanding and his stock is rising rapidly. People in the game outside of West Ham are really starting to sit up and take notice of him. And he is still only 21 with over 100 Premier League games under his belt.

Just think how good he will be in another 2 years, And that is why I said he will command a massive salary if he does go.

I'd love him to stay with us, but the fact is, he is that good with so much promise and potential to be a real top player and probably the next England captain.
It it is inevitable he will go.

Lily Hammer 2:20 Wed Dec 16
Re: Rice is not going anywhere.
Rice seems to get a little bit better nearly every game. He’s not quite the complete midfielder, but he’s getting there, and still so young for the position he plays.

You get young wonderkid wingers and strikers getting into the England squad, but who was the last 20/21 year old to nail down an England spot as a defensive midfielder or centre back and not look out of place? These roles are usually for older more experienced players.
